Collagen Induction Therapy
What is Collagen Induction Therapy
Collagen induction therapy is the use of a skin needling devise that stimulates the fibroblasts to stimulate glycosaminoglycan’s collagen and elastin. Promoting firmness, hydration and tightness. Keratinocyte (this cell is responsible for releasing key growth factors) facilitate skin rejuvenation.
Skin needling can be used to treat the fragile skin around the eyes and lips, neck and décolletage, and can also be used on most skin types, resulting in smoother, firmer, healthier skin.
Skin needling can be used to assist the appearance of:
- Enlarged pores
- Sun Damage
- Stretch Marks
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Acne scarring
- Chicken pox scars
- Loss of elasticity
Collagen Induction Therapy Treatments
A course of treatments is required with the addition of recommended skin care to help restore and maintain the acid mantle, lipid bilayers, and for the promotion of healthy collagen. Nutritional supplements for the optimal healing and assisting the laying down of collagen and elastin fibres, will also be required.
Visible signs of skin rejuvenation will start to be seen approximately 2 weeks after needling and will continue up to a year after needling.
