What is Collagen Induction / Therapy Skin Needling
Collagen induction therapy ALSO know as Skin Needling or derma pen is the use of a skin needling devise that stimulates the fibroblasts (This improves firmness and hydration) of your skin cells to stimulate glycosaminoglycan’s (Also known as GAG’S These increase the hydration, elasticity and pliability of skin, connective tissue and joints) collagen and elastin. Promoting firmness, hydration and tightness. Keratinocyte (this cell is responsible for releasing key growth factors) facilitate skin rejuvenation increases firmness and improves the barrier function of the skin.
Skin needling can be used to treat the fragile skin around the eyes and lips, cheeks, jawline, neck and décolletage. Aids in the smoothing of raised scar tissue ie Keloid scarring.Needling with a dermal needling device, can also be used to decrease the depth of ice pick scarring, caused by trauma or Acne. Collagen induction therapy can be performed on most skin types, resulting in smoother, firmer, healthier skin with increased hydration.
